In my opinion, for a beginner, it is not so important to learn a language as to use a first language to learn to program. Any Turing complete language will be able to get you started in designing correct logic and from that point it is a matter of simply applying that very basic knowledge to a new language syntax or design paradigm at worst. So I reccommend that you look around at several languages, think about what environments you intend to do work in and choose one that fits you and your intentions to learn with first. Many free compilers can be found at the URL below. The site also has many articles, reviews, tutorials and other programming tools and resources linked to it. Good luck and search for information first when you get stuck, then ask!

start off with a more basic languags like java, may colleges run these courses and it will be a good introduction to programming for you, then move onto a language like C# or C++ but don't expect to be able to pick this up over night as its a skill and takes alot of dedication. just take your time and with timeyou will be a good programmer. GOOD LUCK and don't forget the community online is here to help as well.

The ones that you find interesting... and because if you don't find them interesting they will be next to impossible for you to learn.
