Well...I don't know the percentage, so the question. It's just history you know. It's really the birthday of the sun god. You know the bible says in revelation to not to add anything to the word, and christmas has been added. You can find all the information at the library, or on line. Just some interesting trivia. :)

You're right. The shepherds were tending their flocks outside the night the child was born. In Bethlehem in December it is too cold to keep the flocks outside because the sheep can't take extreme weather. So at that time of year they are indoors.

Jesus was born 6 months after Elizabeths baby and that would make Jesus birthday sept-oct

The people of that day worshipped the God saturnalia and had a feast...and they came from all around to participate.

Also Joseph was to go to Bethlehem once a year to register and that corresponds to the sept-oct birth.

I cannot give an accurate percentage but I do know the Muslims, the Jews, the Buddists, and all sorts of other religions do not believe in Jesus yet they observe Christmas. Even the Chinese observe the holiday now. All Christian faiths observe Christmas. True believers in Jesus do not. My guess would be about 1% of the earth's population knows it isn't Christ's birthday. Or even less than 1%. I know Jesus was born during harvest season and God does not require us to observe His birth. This is a pagan holiday.

Most people know, but someone in the church had to settle on a day. How many people remember we are celebrating Christmas for Christ or are they just about the presents?

I can't really state the percentage, but I know that it;s not his birthday. He was born sometime during Harvest time. The 25th is just a man made date, just like all the decorations, the tree, etc..............
