You're a moron. I can assure you from personal experience that you would not know about it and you probably just need a new phone. We tap cell phones 95% of the time anyway. And I would bet my life if you are being tapped that whoever did the crappy job will be fired and that you are transporting snow. Aside from that rare chance, I would suggest you make more deliveries and quit using so much yourself.

There are two ways to tap a phone: wireless surveillance and an electronic device that is attached to or around your phone system.
Wireless surveillance is basically an interception of digital transmission, and there isn't much you can do about that.
If there is an electronic device involved, I would contract with a private detective to scan your system.
Note, however, if you are the subject of a criminal investigation, surveillance of any kind requires a court order.
Do you think you are being investigated, either by a law enforcement agency or a private agency? Why does your friend believe your phone is being tapped? Do you use recreational drugs, and have you purchased recreational drugs in the past? Have you made an acquaintance with someone new in the neighborhood? Have any of your friends done so?
Are you a party in any type of civil litigation?
Trust me. Private citizens aren't just being randomly surveilled. There is generally a reason. If you don't believe there is any reason for you to be under surveillance (i.e., criminal activity or involvement in litigation), then you probably are not being surveilled. More likely is that the local phone or cable company is doing maintenance, or a company or individual is installing a new microwave or satellite dish, which is causing the interference you describe.

In the US:
Your phone can not be tapped with out a court order. And that court order will not be issued until many standards have been met. It must be as the result of a criminal investigation that provides solid evidence of a crime. Next, they must first do a PIN register. Next, they must record every call and "minimize" those that do not pertain to the investigation.
If you suspect your being monitored, its because your a known criminal or drug dealer.

stop and use your brain for just 4 seconds here.
yes, yes, i know, it hurts, but still, bear with me. ready? here comes the brain buster:
if you could tell your phone was tapped, WHAT WOULD BE THE POINT OF DOING IT?
this isn't hollywood, and this isn't the movies. phone taps dont make "little clicking noises," and even if they DID, you wouldnt be able to do anything about it anyway.
so in short, no, 007, your phone is not tapped.

hahaha! are you kidding me!? you cant! The only option is opening up the phone to see if they tapped it like that. But if they're just going off of the phone provider then your screwed. If so, throw out your phone and talk to the guy face to face in safe areas. Also let him know whats happening but NEVER talk to him about it over the phone. Only in person. Good luck and may those phone tapping bastards burn.

They are watching.. we're all wired so unless you're a potential terrorist or plotting something ilegal, there's nothing to worry about.
Move to a deserted island if you want privacy.

And just what makes you think that this friend of yours has any clue?
Sounds like he just wanted to see how gullible you are.
