I am a college student also, and these are what I use, on a regular basis, with usually the needed results. I usually start with www.google.com ( my authority for everything LOL) if not there, I use www.ask.com, www.info.com. You can always try the various mega search engines, if you have the time to filter through, such as www.altavista.com, www.dogpile.com. Once in a while, i will use www.wikipedia.com, but you have to remember with that one, that anyone can go in and edit info, so what you are reading MAY NOT be reliable, best to check your facts from that one with someplace else. Hope this helps!

There is a lot of info on the web, but certinally no single website has all the answers. A search engine (yahoo, google, lycos) is the way to go to get the largest variety of info. If something is obscure you may try several search engines since not all sites show up in all engines.
The real key is correctly phasing your search so you dont get too many unrelated sites, or no sites at all. use the advanced search or learn advanced search shortcuts. Some tricks that are good to use if you dont know them follow....
Quotes
make the words lock together in an exact phrase to be found. if your search is just BIG RED CAR you will get a million results if it is "BIG RED CAR" you will get the wiggles song my boys like.
minus sign
use a minus sing to eliminate larges classes of info you dont want so if you want a big red car that has nothing to do with the wiggles type in BIG RED CAR -WIGGLES
Parenthesis
if you want to find a car that is either red or blue you can do it with parenthesis CAR (RED, BLUE)

There's a question mark in your question, but grammatically it's not a question.
But I'm being flexible today, and I'll take a guess at what you mean. Counter-question: what qualities does the site you're on right now lack, that you don't think it qualifies as the site you're looking for?

I hear that Yahoo has something similar to what you're looking for. It's called Yahoo Answers Things or something like that.
