There's no reason to be nice....Tell her to get ****** but for your jobs sake make sure you & her are the only ones that know it was said!

That should cure her speaking to you at all!

Talk to your supervisor.

I worked with a girl who was alllllllllllllllllways complaining and it pissed me off so much. It was when I worked at McDonald's for a hot minute and this girl would always be like, "I hate this blah blah blah" "my life sucks blah blah blah" "I am going to tell you stupid stories about my life that you don't care about because I'm boring blah blah blah." Don't insult her because, in my experience, people who b*tch all the time will just take that as reinforcement for how much their life sucks.

It's really out of your hands - it's her work ethic which means that the supervisor should be involved and not you.

When I worked with a whiney woman, we took it up with our supervisor. :-)

Supervisors can help you with it because when someone tosses a wrench in the mechanism of productivity, they will do what you want in order to improve it.

Truly, if that whiney, b*tchy woman is affecting your quality of work, then there should be something you can do about it. Healthy, well-balanced work relationships improve your work productiveness...

Perhaps you can ask your supervisor to have her moved, or if you can move with a different group of people. Because if nothing is done soon, you're beginning to appear as a whiney, little b*tchboy yourself. Take care and good luck.

This is what I do: When really negative people start complaining, I counter with a positive, as in "Well, it could be worse...(fill in blank)" or "Yes, but think about it this way..." It drives them CRAZY! Negative people HATE this! They just want you to agree or be sympathetic. Eventually, they will start avoiding YOU! Or, at the very least, they won't complain around you any more. Try it, it works!

Instead of letting her go on and on next time ask her if what she is frustrated over is that important to fuss about.
Maybe if she starts rationalizing the things she b^$%ches about she will think again before she shares it with the rest of you.

Keep it simple. You can tell her to quite her bitching. Maybe tell her it makes her sound whiny and stupid.

It's always going to be something at work. Even when she quits her complaining, something else will likely pop up and bother you.

I've been taught that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. I have one of those in my office too and I just stay away and stay silent.

Females do tend to be bitchey - but they really don't know they're doing it. Tell her - and don't worry about insulting her -- let her know how unpleasant it is, and then joke WITH her about it. She'll lighten up, if only around you. Good luck.
