It would cost you more in gas to return a 59 cent can of corn.
Give it to a food pantry if you won't use it

I dont see a problem in going back to the store simply to exchange a can of corn. If you dont have the time to go back, try adding some salt to it while its cooking. Not too much tho, a pinch or two should do it.

Nah, an 8-ounce can of corn costs 50 cents or less. I wouldn't bother. If you use it in a dish, you probably won't even notice, and you can season it if you want to eat it as a side.

Assuming that you utilize the same grocery store each time, just take it back next time you shop and swap it out. It doesn't cost the store anything. Or add salt.....or throw it at the neighbors dog to make him quit barking!

Can you add salt to it?
It's not the store's fault you didn't read the label, so if they do accept a swap it will be purely to maintain the goodwill with you as a customer.
