Yes, and it's really sad. There's so much hate coming from the Conservatives on this board.

Well, let's use some logic here. If you assume that there are two camps of political ideology (conservative/liberal), then anyone that thinks differently from a conservative is, by definition, a liberal.

If you assume a 3rd possible political ideology (libertarian), then the argument falls apart. Or if you like the the grey area called "moderate", then it doesn't really work. But most issues can be divided into 2 schools of thought. If you aren't on one side, then you probably are on the other.

How the different issues get mixed together is what might define a particular ideology. Libertarians (like myself) tend to be "conservative" on issues of national security, taxation, economic policy, and limited government. But we also tend to be "liberal" on issues such as gay rights, abortion, drug laws, and other vice laws.

No. There are many other appropriate terms for those who disagree with conservatives. Traitor. Commie. Heathen.

Free thinking is not something I would associate with liberals. In my experience, liberals are some of the most closeminded people you could ever meet.

more or less. conservatives for the most part agree on several issues so anyone who does not conform to those views is not a conservative and therefore liberal, although we all know its not that cut or dry. they would like to label liberals as a bad thing, b/c they say its liberalist views that are deteriorating the family values and economy of this country.

Actually, we call them "liberals" when they really are leftists. The current "liberals" have little in common with the classical liberals, who were for personal freedom and responsibility and accountability, with minimal government.

Today's "liberals" want the government to do everything for them, and take care of all their little pet peeves. Not the classical, freedom-loving liberal at all.

I like to equate delusional thinking and making up elaborate excuses for savage humans with liberalism and a slight case of mental retardation.

In essence, most liberals are self-righteous, pious and slightly retarded. It's like retards with a huge ego, you know.

haha! Liberals do the exact same thing! Anyone that disagrees with a liberal is usually considered stupid and immature in the eyes of that liberal. Quit trying to be "holier than thou".

One should be careful about blanket statements. Certainly some conservatives feel this way. I like to think that not all do.

Seems that way. I think these unAmerican conservatives just get more air time than any others.
