It's definately the most irritating, and seems to take a really bitter twisted ba st ard to use it.

Sarcasm is possibly the highest form of wit.
Sarcasm only works if you have the right references and the ability to tell if someone is being sarcastic.
Of course everything in moderation.

Sarcasm is often just a thinly veiled insult, which is why in the right hands it is probably the finest form of humour there is. People just utilise it as a substitute for a clever, witty retort which they are wholly uncapable of delivering.
People like me.

sarcasm is the average form of wit. it may hurt someone else's feeling, but at the same time sarcasm may be the simple and faster way to 'speak out' the truth.

Nope. It's all I know how to be. I use sarcasm in a variety of situations. The people who know me, understand, and those who don't, well usually they're just a little bit dumb anyway.

No I don"t think it is, sometimes takes a bit of careful thought to really run somebody down. Only when they deserve it of course, the best being the delayed action type where the person takes several hours to realise.

i dont think so. it takes a person who is able to read past normal lines to be able to drop words dripping with sarcasm. just like being corny, people who are sarcastic thinks deeper than the non-sarcastic ones who take words at face value.
my two cents worth.

Only if it's meant to be hurtful. But sarcasm can just to be a "duh" thing and state what the speaker feels is obvious, so it isn't always hurtful. It can be quite fun sometimes, but not if it's meant to be just mean.

I don't think it is, but I hate it when people do the two 'speech marks' thing with their fingers to emphasise a point when they say something. Arrrgh!
