Happy Birthday! Congratulations on making it 26 years. But that's all the past. Think of today (and every day) as God's gift. That's why it's called the present.

You can write Java. That's something. I can't do it. Move forward with that.

Charles Shultz, the Peanuts comics creator, was painfully shy. Look what he accomplished.

I wouldn't worry too much... I'm 30 now and had less than %^$# all when I was your age.. I wont give you my life story but I was hooked on smack and speed (as an escape) and was living down and out. I was in a bad situation, but I bet there were many more people doing it harder than me. I dragged myself up with help of friends and my own steam and sorted my **** out. Now I'm doing well, I'm no millionaire or anything but I'm pretty comfortable. All you need is an ambition to do better for yourself, improve your life and set reasonable goals. When you go to interviews, try to pretend the person doing the interview is your friend (limit the lingo though) and not an enemy... even tell them you are shy and nervous and they will understand and most likely show leniency.. get a professional to type up your resume, sure it might cost some money, but it will get you some too. With your osteoarthritis, i guess you wont be able to do physical jobs, but you should be able to do call centre to get you started, or any kind of office work. I don't know, whatever turns you on. You have an interest in computing... why not seek a career doing that? The only person that can change your life for the better is you, write down a major goal you wish to accomplish in the next 6 months, then list all the steps needed to get there and follow them one by one.. you'll be glad you did. All the best bro.

The first thing you need to do is get out and do something to help someone else. Even if you're not physically capable of exercise, you can mentor a child, help someone with reading, help someone learn how to operate a computer, etc. There are ALL sorts of possibilities. Once you step outside yourself, you'll learn what life's all about. You will also gain some self-confidence which is something you're clearly in need of.

Believe me, ALL of us have things to overcome in life. Even those who appear to have everything going for them can have terrible things happening in their lives. Once you take control of your life , the sky's the limit. If you give up, life will give up on you. If you show you're interested and want to do something, life and the universe will make it possible. Now...get up and get started! You'll be fine!!!!!!

Wow, you've got a problem. There is a job out there for you, you just haven't found it yet. Keep working at writing Java, sounds like it could lead somewhere. I really just wanted to say happy Birthday!
