Try thinking of it this way:
If a person is guilty, it is relatively easy to make sure that person receives a fair trial, a fair sentence and that the person's rights were not violated.
If a person is innocent, on the other hand, the defense of that person is much more difficult; not only does the defense attorney have to make sure the the defendant's rights weren't violated, and that the defendant receives a fair trial, but the lawyer also has to do everything possible to prove that the defendant is not guilty. Defending an innocent person in a criminal matter is much more difficult.

I don't think it's any harder than being on the other side. Whatever side you are on you have to look at the facts and present them in a light most favorable to your clients. This includes interpreting the law and putting in the hours. Being a criminal defense attorney can be rewarding because the injustice that occurs when someone is wrongfully accused is often eggregious.

Depends where you are and who it is. If the criminal is a celebrity in Los Angeles, you are pretty much guaranteed to win (OJ, Robert Blake, Michael Jackson). It might be more difficult elsewhere.

not very...I don't think that defense attorney's have souls...well some of them...I mean we need them because some people really are innocent...
I am talking about the ones that will let a rapist go bc he has a lot of money. I think that they are sick and that they are going to rot in hell. Although...they probably are atheist and don't believe in hell...but I do...and that's where they are going!
