i know someone who says that southern states usually smell pretty bad for some reason. He also told me that it must be because of the sh*t load of fat people who live there.

Canton North Carolina Paper Mill. Sets in valley and the stink just percolates. Jesup Georgia, again Paper Mills. Combine Paper Mill with Swampy area stink. Gag me with 49 knives.

I didn't notice this when I visited Salt Lake City. I would have to say the smelliest city would be Gary, Indiana.

I gotta go with Gary, Indiana. It's really impressive when your plane passes over Gary to land in Chicago and you see all those smoke stacks.
Folks who have seen "The Music Man" probably think Gary is a quaint, easy-going place because the musical has that charming little tap dance number about Gary in it. ("Gary Indiana! My home sweet home!") Man, the town is anything but that.

l. a. stinks soooooo undesirable. i comprehend the electorate would disagree, yet i imagine that's because they are used to in and performance develop into immune. guy the air smells so foul, and that's soooo brown. depressing once you fly out and note that line substitute from brown to blue . . . gross!

I would have to say Commerce City, CO.
According to the joke my Aunt and Uncle always used to say:
"Kiss me where it stinks", my Uncle would reply, "You want to go to Commerce City?"
The water taste terrible also.
