I know it is the retaliers and the media that hype it up so much but where is the meaning of Christmas anymore, it is causing our children to be unable to know the meaning of christmas and the coming together of familys at this time of year. It is very sad.

They act like animals simply because they ARE animals. They are not capable of thining for themselves so the media is there to tell them what to think about something. These are the same people who follow the pop culture and can only determine whether or not they like something by allowing their opinion to be based on what is People magazine.

I totally agree! I love shopping on Black Friday...just because of tradition and I'm a shopaholic. But it has gotten way out of hand. The only thing us non-animal like people can do is to teach our children the true meanings. I don't take my children shopping with me on that day, but I do like to go for the sales and to start my christmas shopping. It's really up to the parents to educate the children because unfortunatly the schools wont anymore, and the media and retailers aren't going to do it. Parents....we have major responsibilities that we used to be fortunate to get help with from those places, but we're on our own now. This is what happens when society leaves God out.
