The beauty of Borat is that by appearing to be an anti-semite, biggot and chauvenist, he has turned the tables from the fictional beliefs of people in his "native country" to focus on America's real problems. Sure in the movie he poses questions like what kind of gun would you use to kill a Jew? But the terrifying part is the gun store owner actually answers. Sometimes it takes a movie like Borat, as ridiculous as it may be to focus on problems like racism and homophobia here at home. Sacha Baron Cohen is not only a great comedian, he's a smart guy who has put himself out there to prove a point beyond that of making a funny movie. Before you discount his work, take a closer look at what he's examining on his mission across the country.

It's not that he's funny. He's ironic.
He points out hypocrisy of the average person and the draws to light the ignorance of people when it comes to international poltics.
