i have realized this, just like if we had white history month we would be racist, or white entertainment television. it's obviously a double standard. i also think it's funny that a lof of back people call themselves african americans when they were born and raised here, have never been to africa and neither have their parents. i dont walk around saying i am german american. there are sooo many double standards it's un-real.

Yes, sometimes I think the white race is becoming the minority. We aren't "allowed" to say anything about being white and proud or whatever. There is a "Miss Black America" yet, we can't have a Miss America pageant just for white women. It's things like that that I just don't get. There are also the black film awards now. No, I'm not racist...my best friend is black and my next door neighbor is black and we're good friends.

Blacks back then and sometimes even now are made to feel low, unwelcome, not in this world, & ugly. Our skin color alone has band us from having a normal life here in America. I have to admit we came a long way.
But the "I'm black and proud" bumper sticker is not to really tell you. It's to remind us Afro-Americans. We should be proud of our skin color and not feel less human because of our dark complexion.
Surprisingly allot of us hate to be thought of darked skinned. It's sad but true, ask a honest Afro-American female she will admit to sreaching for creams to lighten her skin.
Being light skinned to some Afro- Americans means being beautiful. So when you see a bumper sticker stating "Black and Proud" it's a Black person letting everyone know he or she love the dark skin they are in. God Bless. Love. Amen.

For some reason blacks are allowed to be racist. They also get away with more in the workplace, at most places where I have worked.

its because the stereotype that was set against other races earlier on, now has back lashed against those who started it in the first place, yes not all white people are racist, the problem is other cultures think we are due to the history that we have against other races,

You should be proud for what and who you are. You are who you are and no body can change that. Everyone should have the right to say that they're proud of what they are....unless they're a paedo or terrorist or something similar....
