Lots of people do. It's very effective, does not need to be remembered like pills, and safe.

It's not a good choice for someone who's nonmonogamous, because some STDs are made much more serious if you have an IUD in when you get them. Also a lot of doctors are iffy about inserting them in women who have not already had children, because it's more difficult and painful for some of these women. But if you are monogamous with someone who is monogamous with you it can be an excellent choice.

I do! I do! I got the Mariena two months ago and love it. The first 3 days after the insertion you may have severe cramps. I felt like I was having a baby! But I never have which probably made it hurt more for me. Load up on Motrin and it makes it a lot better. My last period was already lighter. Only problem is sometimes my boyfriend can feel it and we both hate that. We are still working on a solution for that.

Yes......I have the Merina. I love it! No more PMS, or painful heavy periods. You have spotting the first few months is about the only down fall I have found with it.

My husband does not feel the strings.

Yeah i totally recommend it..the only problem i had was that my cramps got a little worse when it was first put in but soon after it got better.
