I have always seen like the indian parents don't even shut their room's door at night..........does that mean they never make love........many parents sleep in separate rooms also like mothers with daughters n in rural areas.....parents are never even seen together........does that mean that they get physical only till the time their children are young??

Why not ! Indian couples are normal as any other couple & make love if not daily but anyday or time whenever they feel like. As far grown up kids hardly make any reason for not making love. There have been cases where mother & daughter or daughter in law delivered child almost together now what will you say about such incidenence and mind you such cases have been reported in rural areas ??? We ourself 48 year couple with grown up kids of marriagable age still make love now dont ask when as I told you as & when we feel like. OK !!!

Yes...they do. AS u hav seen the cases, most of them are middle class and not financially well settled. So they concentrate on their children's future. and they have mind set guided by elders, or society. Most of the people go accordingly. But they make love when ever they get time...but in privacy.
children can not be hurdle to Have sex.
there are some cases which i have seen A mother and her daughter giv birth to little ones together in a hospital.
Even though having sex is natural course, they donot want their children to know that they are having sex. because children get diverted and spoil their future....as per their elder's guidelines.

There are two types of Indians. Bread eating westernized Indians and Chapati (Indian Bread) dhoti wearing Indians. Indians are getting more and more westernized and in twenty years time they'll be like any other American walking down the street. Yes! they won't insist on wearing veils like Muslim women. They won't live in the west and pretend to be orthodox at the same time.
Convent educated, English speaking Indians are just like Americans. One thing good about Indians is they are broad minded. Indians are getting more and more westernized.
Now coming back to the topic whether the Indian parents make love or not I think one can not generalize it. It depends from couple to couple. In India many times the marriage is on the rocks but the couple still lives on in one house. Perhaps in those houses parents may be sleeping in separate rooms. But one thing is sure the Indian women's sexual life is short compared to their counterparts in the west. The men of course ........... :) perhaps go to Bangkok to have fun. :)

What you have seen is good sound observation, but it is not every thing.
Each individual is different, here religious and family up bringing is the utmost reflection of their behaviour.
Doors can be close for the movement of intimacy.
People can move also.
What you observe may not be representative of general behaviour.
In some places there may be few people under one roof and one room hut. The population explosion in India should give you some hints.

I guess it would depend on the couple. Maybe it was an arranged marriage and they are just not interested beyond their duty as you suggest. Perhaps they are more comfortable sleeping apart, getting a better night's rest. Don't worry, you don't have to be like this when you grow older; it's more than likely a personal choice and not a cultural thing.

the wife usually pulls herself away raring as once a week or less after 35. The husband always looking for a d-day - cashing all the slighest oppportuities.
sleeping babies or grown ups lie beside - to witness the dark game - parents have no options left other tahn sharing the same room most of the time.

There is more to intamacy than sex. If they find each other attactive they are finding a time and place for sex too. If they are just invloved with each other because of the children and there is no phycial attraction them there is no sex. Being Indian really would not have that much to do with it.
