only if the lighter is too close. for a new cig, it shouldn't be too close to your eyes, so i think you're safe.

I actually don't know about this either, but I often wonder the same thing, especially with regard to drying my hair. My guess is, that the heat evapourates the moisture from your eyeballs a bit. Maybe making you have to blink a few times. As for actually burning them... well maybe if you put it too close. It is a flame after all. I'll be curious to see what others think.

If your cigarette is an inch long, sure. Don't burn your eye ball, just light your smoke.

dont worry about going blind with 1st degree burns of your eyeballs cos theres worse to come with the stuff your sucking in mate!!
