ok so irvin said Romo must be black if he is that good. he said it on a talk show well it dont bother me that he said that but if a white man said that they would fire him or have his hide. i think it should be fair if a black or white man says something like that it should be same punishment although i think peopl r to sensitive over race comments so what if a white guy says blacks run faster than whites u know most of em do its not racist its true and its a compliment maybe some races are gifted at certain things and others arent its not racist it comes from your environment ok relax people all im saying is calm down and if we r gonna punish peopl for comments u have to treat black and white the same

I couldn't agree with you more!!! But because he's black and ESPN is spineless!!! They don't want Jesse Jackas* and Fat As* Sharpton protesting outside of their upscale Bristol, Conn offices..

Michael Irvin has said so many stupid things that this final act of racist commentary should've been enough to put ESPN over the top and fire him....They suspended Tom Jackson for calling Irvin "Retarded" on air but won't do anything about Irvin's racist comments towards Tony Romo and his family...His grandmother in particular....It's a sad double standard world we live in!!

I wonder what the outcry would be if Michael Richards said something to that effect..

Michael Irvin called himself "The Real Deal." I say he is a Coke Joke! He ranks right up there with Ray Lewis as far as I'm concerned!

I can promise you that nothing will happen, he deserves the same treatment that Michael Richards recieved, but it will not happen. Do you really think that Irvin will be on the Jesse Jackson show this week begging for forgiveness like Richards did?? I doubt it, this will be swept under the rug.

its right, we do not have similar treatment becuase if this was a white man then he would have been taken off all his shows, of course mike meant nothing by his comments, but we should all be treated fair, rush limbaugh lost his job with espn due to comments about mcnabb, his comments were deamed wrong and imapropriate, however he only saw them as a joke, and mike saw his comments as a joke, and did not mean any malous however both were said, and they are both racist comments, in the world we live in you would assume mike to be repremanded but he hasnt been????

Just the same old double standard. Business as usual. Irvin's comments were made "in jest" so they're okay. Right!

he will likely attempt to bypass it off as a joke. despite the indisputable fact that, it purely is going to teach the unhappy scenario in this usa in that a racial statement made through an African American is amazingly a lot ok yet no longer through a white. I stay in New Orleans and am used to it with our Nutty Nagin Mayor (i.e., chief chocolate drop).
