state your reasoning's for being late....be sincere. Now is not the time to sugar coat the subject...
Give the child motivational things to help in the "rush" of getting ready on time.
Express to the teacher that you understand that so many tardies = out to an absent and that your willing to do a Saturday or after school training time if your school permits....
This will show the teacher that even though you were late you do take there class seriously..
