This is a tricky question. Is there a problem with you? Maybe you are too loud, or bossy, or just plain mean. How old are you. If you are younger...no worries you will eventually find great friends. Have you driven all your other friends away? Do you tell everyone things other people have told you? That one will definately make people stay away from you. That is trust. If none of these things are true then they lose out not you. Don't worry yourself over it. Just evaluate yourself to see if maybe you are doing something you may not even be aware of and change it. If there is nothing, well continue to be you and a friendship will arise, believe me. Good friends are few and far between. An aquaintence, well that is just a person you know, maybe hung around with a few times but you dont talk to a lot, only in the passing. For those who said they would be your friend, why even ask them if they were going to, just let things happen naturally. Swap phone numbers, emails, chat, this will help become closer and eventually a friendship will come from it.

First ask yourself what sort of person am I and what kind of friend do i really want. In friendship what do I actually want in it? If you are able to answer this then you will know why friends failed to materialise as they said.

maybe they couldn't find the teleport, or they were afraid of turning into the fly or something, sorry. anyway, people can't materialise over the net, or can they.

If you are going through a tough time - this is when the light truly shines on those that "talk the talk" but don't "walk the walk". Just remember that just because they've done this to you - does not mean you need to stoop to their level if the tables get turned.

It's so easy to say that you will be a friend. But friends wont tell you that they are your frind. Their actions speak louder. Geeees after 50 years I am proud to say that I can count my friends on one hand.

people can be very fickle so never take anyone too serious but when you do find a true friend hold tight as they are thin on the ground
