I agree with you. It's about Tyra. It would be more honest if the girls were competing for a well paid featured spot in a Covergirl campaign, a Victorias Secret spot, prize money, a new wardrobe, photography for a portfolio or some combination like that. Or the winner could actually be signed on with an agency.
Oh well- they are getting their 15 minutes and I love the hissy fits and catfights.

I have seen Ya, Ya on the Radio Shack commercial a few times. Eva has a show on MTV. Mercedes has guest appeared on a few shows. I haven't seen Nichole in anything. I honestly have no idea why the girls go out of their way to compete. Maybe they are top models in other countries. I really think its all about Tyra.

First of all... what the hell is wrong with a plus size model?! Second... I completely agree with you for the other parts... What happened to the girls.. are the modeling, or was it just so someone lucky could have their 15min plus some fame?!

I totally agree with you. I haven't seen any of the girls do anything. I remember hearing an interview with one of the girls and she said that she had done it on a dare. She got pretty far too.

If you watch a lot of runway shows and what not you'll see them on there. I just watched a runway show that had one of them (like I can remember their names, just faces) as the head model person. I think it was for Antik Denim. For instante Kate Moss did hundreds upon hundreds of ads and runway shows, but her name didn't become common place until she showed up in the papers as a coke head. Here are some of the things they're doing now:
Adrian Curry (Cycle 1):"Curry lives in Los Angeles, and has modeled for Life and Style Magazine, Stuff Magazine, People, Maxim, Marie Claire, Lucky, Macy's, Famous Stars and Straps, Beverly Hills Choppers, and Merit Diamonds. Curry appeared on the cover and in a nude pictorial for Playboy in February 2006 (U.S. Version) where she was paid US$1,000,000 for the shoot.
Curry's runway shows include Anne Bowen Spring 2005, and Christopher Deane. She has appeared in a commercial for the Sirena Collection (Merit Diamonds) that ran from November 2004 to January 2005.
Curry was a co-host on the television game show Ballbreakers.
She had a cameo part in two episodes of the second season of UPN's sitcom Half & Half. [2]
She announced on her blog that her virtual self will appear in a new demonstration by Nvidia for their next hardware, the Geforce 8 series." Plus she married a Brady, come on.
Yoanna House (Cycle 2): "contract with IMG Models, the cover of cosmetics catalog Sephora, and a photo spread in Jane. [5] She made her debut as a runway model at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in 2004, walking for fashion designer Petro Zillia. [6] Notably, House also appeared in a commercial for the Declare Yourself voting campaign and on the cover of Psychology Today magazine.[7][8]
In 2006, House was named "the face" of The CW network.[9] She will appear in commercials and web advertisements introducing the network's various media choices."
Eva Pigford (Cycle 3): "contract with IMG Models, the cover of cosmetics catalog Sephora, and a photo spread in Jane.
In 2006, House was named "the face" of The CW network.[9] She will appear in commercials and web advertisements introducing the network's various media choices.
Pigford will host BET J's new reality show, "My Model Looks Better Than Your Model".
Naima Mora (Cycle 4): "Naima and Cycle 3's Ann Markley were Trophy Girls at the 2005 Primetime Emmy Awards. [citation needed]
She has made multiple appearances as a guest on The Tyra Banks Show.[1]
She has appeared on the second season premiere of Veronica Mars, "Normal Is the Watchword". [7]
Naima also served as a judge at the Miss Teen USA Pageant in 2005. She also appeared in the music video for the song "Wolf Like Me" by TV On The Radio in 2006." I think she was the least successful.
Nicole Linkletter (Cycle 5): "appeared in high-profile ads for CoverGirl, Milk Boutique, Secret Deoderant, and Ford Fusion. Her famous face has also been splashed across the covers of ELLEgirl, Women's Health & Fitness and Lemonade Magazine. Nicole has even left her mark in telelvision, having served as a celebrity judge for the Miss USA 2006 pageant and as a host for a series of well-received fashion segments on VH1."
Danielle Evans (Cycle 6): "appeared in high-profile ads for CoverGirl, Milk Boutique, Secret Deoderant, and Ford Fusion.
So, the more time they have, the more they can accomplish, like most models. This show is just designed to help them get their foot in the door a lot easier.
