Sure, the promotion is yours. You get a company car, a key to the executive washroom, and your name on the door.
Good Luck in your new career.

First of all it is not a good idea to divulge your identity to get an answer.

The short answer is no one can say whether you will get the promotion or not. However, here are some points to think about.

Why does anyone need the details about the company chairman and the minister and the minister's father? Do you report to anyone of them or do they wield a strong influence over your promotion? I assume not. They may not even be signing to authorize your promotion. By thinking about all these, I feel you have put the responsibility of a promotion on someone else, all the way to the minister's father. I would strongly point out that your life is in your hands. You are living in a free country, right? So, do whatever it takes, do your best, and win.

It is good that you have stated what you are good at. You are a problem solver, you are a hard worker, you are productive. Great. So, with such introspection identify what you do well and what you don't. Read some motivational books such as "You can win". Be true to yourself. Find out who determines your job promotion (your boss and may be his/her boss) and who your competition are for that opportunity. Go and talk to those people. Prepare and explain why you deserve it. Remember, you bring value to your company and you are not asking for dole. Speak with confidence.

Often, a promotion is determined by not what you are doing currently or how well you do it; whether you have the knowledge, capability, skills, authority, and demeanor for the job you are being promoted to are vital. I suspect that you are weak in some of those areas. Do some introspection and change. Remember, you are an Assistant General Manager (I assume that is what AGM means). You should be guiding other people, not be meek and lacking confidence. The steel industry is strong now in the world. Your experience is valuable, if not for SAIL for some other company. Say to yourself, I deserve this promotion, I can do it, and I will get it. Good luck.
