Kind of weird to write a chemistry paper on a medical phenomenon like Carpal Tunnel syndrome. Why not write a chemistry paper on astronomy instead?

I would think that 'typing' is the worse for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. However, as I was thinking about this question, I was wondering - where do we get that term? who does it affect? I have been playing piano since I was 6 years old - the same type of movement as typing - even broader. I have always loved to type (started on a Smith Corona and Underwood!!) AND, writing was always high on my list. What makes me or others like me different? I know the syndrome exists, and there are times when my wrists hurt - but I keep a soft ball in my presence to strengthen my fingers and wrist. I hope that I never have this. I am now 53. It is probably the way people are holding their wrists when they type. My piano teacher used to tell me to "get those wrists and fingers up" and therefore, when I type, the position of my hands, fingers and wrists are never on the keyboard -resting - there is a greater flexibility involved. Who knows?

It's more about biology than chemistry. The subject, however, should be easy to research and write about since the topic is widely known. I think a better topic for a chemistry paper would be the effects of the gases trapped by industry pollutions. Otherwise, known as the Greenhouse effect.

You should know the topic pretty well by the end of the paper. Get it?
