There are no words which offend me. A word is just a sound, or a combination of letters... it is the intentions behind them which cause harm. Therefore, I don't have any problem what so ever with people using swear words, or any of the other words mentioned, as they can be used with absolutey no bad intentions. It is when they are used with bad intentions that I find them offensive. As an example, I don't see anything wrong with the word paki, in the same way I don't have a problem with being called a jock (I'm scottish). I would only be offended if somene had hatred towards someone BECAUSE they were a paki or a jock.
Being politcally correct, and criticising people for not being politically correct puts the focus of our attention on the words, instead of the intent behind them, which to me, is the important factor here.

Vey few words offend me. In fact I use pretty much every swear word under the sun when I'm talking to my mates. Yes, even the dreaded "C word". Shock, horror :)
I think it depends on where you are in the world, the relationships you have with people, and generally the type of person you are as to what words are considered offensive. You talk to any aussies (australians), kiwis (new zealanders), jocks (scottish), taffies (welsh), septics (americans), paddies(irish) and you will find that out.
In fact the aussies are far more liberal with the "C" word than any other people I've met. I think that they are a lot more relaxed about language, and this can only be a good thing.
If I've offended anyone with the "derogatory" phrases above, I apologise.
I'm with Eddie Murphy on the use of the "f" word. There is definetely the correct time to use it, and that's in the bedroom when describing what you want to do with someone. Other people I agree with are Dennis Leary, Billy Connolly, and one of my heroes, Kevin Bloody Wilson (an aussie singer/songwriter) who sang "You can't say C*** in Canada. Catch one of his shows, and you will laugh your **** off, I promise you

I have young kids, so cuss words offend me and sexual words. They can be very offensive because they can do so much damage in relationships, etc. They aren't kind words and in my opinion shouldn't be used. They are vulgur. Also, I don't think people need to use racial slurs or call other names. What does that solve? Nothing. It also does more damage to the person than good and what right do we have to call people such names. Do we feel like we are a better person or a 'bigger' person for calling names? No, I don't think so! In fact, I believe it makes a person smaller. Whatever comes from someone's mouth is most likely who they are.

"Brit"
(but only when used in Ireland by Irish)
There really isn't any direct malice intended in it say when someone says ya bleedin' Brit, or fookin brits out. What it is is that the attitude to saying it is as normal as it is to cheering at a football match like it wasn't anything to be disturbed about and has been going on for generation upon generation
"800 years guys it's time ye got over it" I might retort in jest but they say "Ah we're only jokin'" but you know that the undercurrent of history runs ever on below the surface here, and should the political stability ever change for the worse, people change and it would eventually not be a safe place to be a "Brit" even in the Republic
Offends because it makes me feel unsafe

I find the kind of language they use in most violent movies offensive. I hate people using F..k word like it is a normal everyday word. I cannot stand hearing kids swearing and their parents as well. I do swear when i am angry, but only then.

Any word spoken in a hateful way is offensive. It's not the actual word itself (although I hate crudity) it's the way people say them.
I hate it when people talk about manure, faeces, sex, etc etc and use common expressions for them. Why do they do it? A pile of manure is a pile of manure - why do we bring it into our conversation all the time? As though its part of our everyday conversation. I can understand swearing when you're angry, but people just swear because they can! It's pathetic, really.
I mean, if I said "Faeces, get your sexing backside off my chair!" who would care? And doesn't it sound stupid?

YOU RE STUPID, WHAT A FOOL U RE, U RE SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT TO THE FAMILY etc, word like these and so many others are to bad to say to people cos it discourages them about who they are that anything good can come out of them, and that makes them grow 4rom bad to worst. so if anyone is used to saying things like that should try saying oh! no, i espected you to be more reasonable than this cos i,ve always been proud of you, and if u re in any envirnment were u receive this words, dont be discouraged, check ur self, try to beleive in ur self, take corrections and move on good luck

I hate hearing people slam Christianity while defending every other religion on the planet. Christians are entitled to the same rights as everyone else. And, I really hate hearing people use Jesus Christ's name as a swear word. It's offensive to me because I am a Christian.

Golly, I'm more sensitive that you others.
The f word.
The c word.
'Fart' - although I'm getting used to that with my husband around!
I'm sure there are plenty more. Why do they offend me? I don't know. Blame it on my upbringing but it's interesting that you can't just shake off your reactions.
