Why can't I install more than one Sims 2 EP without it overridding the previous EP install?

Specifically I have installed Sims 2 & Sims 2 Nightlife. I am trying to install Sims 2 Open for Business & Sims 2 Glamour Life as well.

You wont 'override' it, you will expand it

WHen you install more expansion packs the expansions you have previously installed wont dissapear, they'll still be there, and you use them all together.
