You have a vague, perhaps unnameable hunger - a void. It is sensed, it is felt, it is almost so real and palpable that it is almost tangible.
It wells up in the back of the throat, it drives and motivates you to search, and upturn stones and look for the hidden.
Can one describe hunger? Can one define thirst? You know it - you feel it - but it may supersede or defy logic and reason.
Best to you.

When all around begin to fall down, I know there is yet something to be found. I leave what has fallen to look around soon I discover what was in need to be found. sometimes what has fallen stays there a while until my allotted time brings me back again to put into place the piece that was found. what is missing has been always around. to be given the time and the sight to see what was missing right in front of me. To travel in days and travel in nights a measure of time when soon I must take flight and with feet given wings from heaven above guiding my steps all the way.

Try not to be passive and pessimistic. One way to say I need money is to say, "Money is missing in my life." I see your question not as a question, but as the statement it should be.
I need something.
It is up to you to meet your need, and it may require determination and a strong will. You may find that your need is unattainable, and in this case, you must do what everyone else does.
Accept that the need cannot be fulfilled, and move on. At the very least, you have tried. Being active in this is a very important part in resolving the issue. When it is finished, whatever the result, you have tried, and you will no longer need to be passive about it.

Is it something missing or a certain dissatisfaction with the way your present life is panning out? Unhappiness annoints itself with balms hoping to ease the ache; "I am not happy/satisfied therefore something must be missing."

It's like knowing when you're happy or unhappy. There is no definition or a system. You just know. If you have to think about this question long and hard, you're probably not missing anything.

You can just feel if something is missing. I encourage to seek after God if you feel a void in your life.

When you see it in someone else's life and suddenly realize that's what you've been looking for. Even though you didn't know you where looking for it.

You feel empty and unmotivated to do anything.
You keep smiling, partying, you keep showing up for work, but inside you're just an empty shell.
