ID braclet or plain bracelet, gourmet foods basket, leather 2007 day planner, new leather wallet with matching keyfob or cellphone cover, OR chill a bottle of NON-alcoholic champagne - get some fruit, cheeses and crackers in a basket with napkins and go ride off somewhere you both never been but wanted to go to for a day. You don't tell us anything about the bf. I'd personally say ditch the buying and do something to make the day memorable (food, seduction, alcohol, more seduction!). If you want to spend, book somewhere unusual to stay - in the UK try the Vivat Trust - then back to the seduction idea!
Otherwise something really unusual ('zorbing' (one of those giant plastic bubbles that you can roll down a hill in), rock climbing or 'airkix' indoor 'skydiving'.

Get his something a bit off the wall like a SCUBA diving lesson or try dive. They arnt expensive and no one else will think of it. Or a day out on a sports car track, he will love it.
