I do not think it's right. Couldn't that make the kid be gay, too. Maybe not if they adopt a teenager, but if they adopt a young child. It could be traumatizing to a teenager to be adopted by a gay couple anyway.

No I don't think its right. The only plus to it is that the kids gets a home, The downfalls out weigh the 1 plus. I think its sick if you ask me. Poor kids. I mean I am sure that gay couples are good people just alittle confused. I watched a thing on Tv once about this guy couple who spent all this money to make a child with their sperm and an egg doner. I just about vomited!! I am sure the child will be loved and all but like others say. It isn't good on the Physo side of things. These kids will be raised to think that okay my dad and dad are gay so I must be too. No ONE IS BORN GAY!!! ITs a choice. These kids will really have no choice. Its sad really sad to see what this world is coming too. Its more about the sex thing. If you ask me thats what it is. Gay is a sex thing, not a relationship thing. I can see someone loving their friend and thats it. Its not "in love". The whole thing is just wrong!

Yes gays should be able to adopt, why not, I wouldn't want to adopt personally but I know there are gays who do.
Straight parents don't seem to be able to turn gay kids straight and we all know how hard they try, it should be recognised as child abuse...anyway they don't succeed as it can't be done any more than you can make a straight kid gay, sexual orientation is fixed from very early infancy if not from birth.
A teenager would have a say in who got to adopt them so If there was a teenager who was going to be thrown into trauma by a gay couple it would never get as far as adoption.

Oh please, are you really that uneducated. No one can make someone else be gay, I turn this round on you and say, why isn't everybody in the world straight as everyone has to have a mum and dad to be born. You are born, you grow, you follow your own path and if that is to be gay then so be it.
Right the mechanics of same sex relationships cant possibly work for having children, but should that stop two people who love each other having children and giving a child a safe loving home. Being gay does not make people pedophiles you know, why shouldn't they be allowed to adopt or foster, they can help out unwanted children that are born to selfish straight people who cant be bothered to look after them themselves.
Your argument is so flawed, I personally would love a child to be in a secure loving environment be that gay lesbian or straight, than to see these children suffer in unhappy homes where the father comes home drunk and beats the mother then interferes with his kids. There is good and bad in all of us and this is a fairly new thing to come up in society, and I am all for it, look at the mess some straight families have made of their kids and how traumatized straight families kids are, how on earth can you make such a sweeping statement.
Times change, maybe humans should learn to change with it and not be so narrow minded.

Oh and just incase you are sitting there going she is a lesbian or bisexual, I am neither, just have a good thinking brain between my ears.

Yes they should be able to adopt. If you'd bother doing RESEARCH instead of just basing your opinion on bigotry you'd know that the Studies have shown Children raised in a Same-sex household were every bit as well adjusted as their counterparts raised in heterosexual households. The only thing that is a problem with the gay adoption issue comes from people raising their children to laugh and make fun of gays. If you'd teach YOUR children some better manners and not to be so freakin' hateful the children raised in a Same-Sex household wouldn't have any problems at all.

A loving home is a loving home. There are so many kids out there that need someone to care for them why would you even question whether it is better for a gay couple to adopt than for these kids to be tossed between foster parents or group homes. Even if they ALL turn gay because of it this is better than them turning to crime. Traumatized? Where did you come from?

Gay ppl can raise children just as good as straight ppl. Most gay ppl are raised by straight ppl, did straight ppl turn them gay? You can't be turned gay, your just born that way. Unless you have met a gay couple raising a child then you would never know. Some of my friends are lesbians raising a three year old girl. Little girls does good in school and has little boyfriends. She's not deprived of a father figure in her life, her life is as happy as any other child.
Unless the teenager is a massive homophobe, I don't think being adopted by a gay couple would hurt them in any way.

Yes. I believe that homosexual should be able to adopt. It is not like they are going to rub the gayness on the child. I mean, children who are adopted by anyone run the risk of being, molested or abused. I believe that if the child has a loving healthy home than it should not matter what the adopted parent's sexual preference is. As to your question about the teens, people do screen how the teenager will react to the parents first, before permanently placing them into home.

Hey, there is nothing wrong with gays to adopt kids! And no, I don't think it would be traumatizing to the teenager because those two would be the kid's parents.

ok at the start, to sparkling up some issues that individuals do no longer look to understand, you do not chosen to be gay or lezbian. It purely occurs that they see with the help of the gender and inspect whats interior them, their personality. doesn't count number in the journey that they are male or lady. for sure, they should stay a widespread existence and raise childrens, all they have finished is fallen in love with yet another human.

What decade are you in? Being raised by a gay parent is not going to make a person gay. Period. I can't believe people still think this way. How do you explain gay people who were raised by heterosexual parents? A person's sexual orientation has nothing to do with their parenting skills.
