This is the difference; those who support the war are sending others on their behalf to die or be injured, to at the least, risk their lives. Those who do not support the war see the hypocrisy in it and want the soldiers brought home. One does not have to be a part of something in person to have an opinion on it. But if that opinion involves sending others into harms way then those who wish to do so should be man/woman enough to go themselves.

In the USA, we pride ourselves on people being able to speak their minds, their political opinions. Supposedly, spreading democracy throughout the world will allow millions of others the same right.
So what is your question really about? You don't want to hear an opinion that differs from yours? Want to have your cake and eat it, too?
Your question does not follow the same logic as, "if you support it, then why don't you fight in it." The point of that question is an attempt to get people who support it to look at the lives that are being put on the line -- the lives of fathers, brothers, mothers, sisters...
You can have an opinion about foreign policy without being in the middle of it, because we are all directly affected by it one way or another. Or if we're not affected in the moment, we will be.
I'm not a liberal, and I don't particularly like liberal positions. It's just that rights are rights, and you can't logically say you support democracy and free speech, and then attack someone who exercises it. That implies you don't truly believe in the ideals you espouse.

The reason that liberals (and I understand where you are coming from, my Dad argues this at least once a week) are allowed to have an opinion on the Iraq War is because this a free country with protected free speech (at least for now and as long as you don't bring religion into it..lol).
I wish I could offer you a better answer with the demand for justice and logic you are seeking satisfied, but the truth is that when dealing with the Iraq War, there aren't any easy answers.

They are allowed to have an opinion because thats what this country is all about. Everyone can have an opinion, even if it is misguided, uneducated, and completely wrong. The most important part of Freedom of Speech is that it extends to all citizens, even the ones you disagree with.

No, it's not the same logic. Go back to school.
If you support it and you have an all volunteer army, then those who don't serve are hypocrites, because they passed up the opportunity to fight in such an important war.
It would be hypocritical anyone who opposes the war to fight in it or to profit from it, but it is ENTIRELY CONSISTENT for them to continue speaking out against it, and work to end it, and seek to punish those who started it.

And as I re-call Bush never served in a war. He is a Paper Pilot.

If by 'not serving' means you don't get to have an opinion, then the vast majority of Americans don't get to have an opinion.
However, the $400,000,000,000 of our Treasury we have sunk into Iraq gives every tax payer an opinion.

Everyone is entitled to speak their mind. Ther are many people who did not serve. One comes to mind George W Bush and he is allowed to do what he wants. I assume you are a right wing republican who thinks the republicans are the only voice in america. Get a life dummy.

Well then, that begs the question of why would conservatives who have not served have an opinion. Like Dick Cheney, George Bush, Rush Limbaugh.
Texas Air National Guard doesn't really count as serving when your daddy pull strings to get moved to the top of the list to fly obsolete jets that everyone knows don't have a chance of going in harms way.

Same reason as people have an opinion about the food I cook, without being a chef. That is what I get paid to do, and those are the people paying me to do it.
