Van Dyck work differs from his teacher and master, Rubens. They both shared similarities in technique. Van Dyck hold back on the use of color, the form of his work is also more, polite and refined . He painted aristocrats, as people of refined upbringing, manners, and tastes.
many artist tried to copy this style and technique but none were able match his sutler style
