i think that girls can wrestle. they are just as good as guys out there. trust me, i have a friend that wrestles, and shes pretty good!
not all girls care about their nails, or how their hair is. stop freak'n stero typing people!
any girl that wrestles works HARDER then any guy. this is becuase they are trying to prove that they are just as good as the guys, and by doing this, they have to try.
most people think of this as a male only sport and when the guys wrestle, they go "hey. r u wrestling this year?" and another guy goes. "yea." "oh cool. me too"
but if you find out a girl is wrestling most people would go like OMFG?! YOUR WRESTLING. wtf? your a girl!.
oh? im sorry, i thought this was ballet class?
thats probably what she would say.
also. all you guys out there saying "oh, i want to see girls wrestle in the mud or half naked!" get a f*cking life=] you guys are such horn dogs. girls are not toys. you don't look at it at a store, say i want that! then buy it, then take it home, use it once then leave it in the basement storage. NO. sorry, i don't want to get freak'n stds before im 20. kay thanks=]

I'm not sure if you're talking about freestyle wrestling or pro wrestling (WWE-style).
As far as pro wrestling is concerned, the reason most men think women cannot wrestle is because companies like World Wrestling Entertainment hire women for their beauty, and not for their skill. The WWE had the best female wrestler that the business has seen in decades (Jazz) and fired her because she wasn't what they were looking for in a "diva". Meanwhile, women like Melina, who has limited, if any, pro wrestling training at all remains employed.
When all that the American public sees is the nonsense "bra & panty" matches in the WWE, it's easy to see why men wouldn't take them seriously, and why most men think women cannot wrestle.
Companies exist in which women are allowed to excel based on their athletic ability, instead of their appearance. In the Chicago area, a promotion called Shimmer features some of the best female wrestling in the world, with a roster that includes Allison Danger, Daizee Haze, Mercedes Martinez and Sara Del Ray. You can find their DVD's at the Ring Of Honor store at ROHWrestling.com.
In addition to Shimmer, a Japanese company called Arsion once existed that put on phenomenal womans wrestling shows. You can usually find bootlegs of their shows on eBay or via Google.
As for freestyle wrestling (high school, college, olympic style), I have absolutely no idea.

The biggest issue is that WWE and TNA do not hire women for their wrestling ability. For every Madusa , you have 5 Stacy Kieblers. Right now two of the top in ring performers for WWE are Mickie James and Victoria. Of course they go unnoticed because most people would rather watch DX do another inring interview than watch a 20 minute wrestling match. So the answer to your question is because the women are not hired to be great wrestlers.

Because males think they are better than females at everything, but they are wrong many females can do some things better than males, but also things males can do better than females we are all equal. I definitely think females can kick a$$ in wrestling.

i really love women wrestling and i must tell you that did great shows too.unfortunactly most of the girls we saw aren't good wrestlers but just pretty girl that shakin their bodies keep the audience up..just think at Melina split entrance or the girls that lost their bra on the ring::!!
I think that there are a lot of great wrestlers and i think one of the best ones is Jacqueline..she so tough.
Chyna...yes,shes big and strong..but i saw her few times against guys and...except grab them by the ba//s and all the kind of low blows what she can do?
but anyway i think women are so good in wrestling and few of them better than the most famous guys..

I'm pretty sure that they know they can wrestle. Thanks to Trish, Lita, and Chyna. They opened the doors and showed the guys that females can wrestle. We aren't the just the T and A for the business now.

Umm.... It is because we have seen them try, and it is always a joke compared to the guys wrestling. They are only there for eye candy.

Are you talking about professional or collegiate wrestling? They have women's freestyle wrestling now. So women can wrestle and do it well, on the nonprofessional end!
