This way when i tell poeple in the states how cold it is here they will know.. oh it is -39c out side now..

(-39) degrees Celsius = -38.2 degrees Fahrenheit

You can use this rule of thumb to get approximate answers
-40 is the only temperature that is the same on both scales.
0 C = 32 F
20 C = 68 F
37 C = 100 F

To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit do this:-
(C*9/5)+32 i.e.
(-39*9/5)+32
= -38.2 degrees Fahrenheit.

Formula is:
Tf = (9/5)*Tc+32

where:
Tc = temperature in degrees Celsius
Tf = temperature in degrees Fahrenheit


so the answer is -38.2 F

Use this formula: (F-32)/180 = C/100. Therefore, if C= -39, F=
-39/100*180+32 = -38.2F, i.e. minus 38.2 degrees Fahrenheit

Using F=9/5 C + 32, the temperature is -38.2 degrees Fehrenheit. That is PRETTY COLD!!

Fahrenheit, centigrade,rankine or Kelvin. it makes no difference for you until you are inside.
