I can't stand Zidane. Personally, my favourite footballer out there right now is Francesco Totti or Gigi Buffon. Totti has had an outstanding career, and for his club Roma he scored many spectacular goals (just look at Roma v Sampdoria this weekend). Buffon is the best keeper in the world, he has made many amazing saves, and kept a clean sheet until the WC final except for a fluke own goal by Zaccardo. The next Dino Zoff!

Zidane. He's a great play maker. He had great influence and calm on the field. Done alot of amazing stuffs. Goals and passings. But what happened during the wolrd cup is rather saddening. IF he didn't did that, he will be even a greater player.

Ronaldinho is THE BEST.
He has been playing great football for more than 3-4 years now. He has won FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League, Spanish La Liga + he has World Player of the year many times.
He is the best, master of masters. Nike is going to start "Shoes" named Ronaldinho. Good thing about Ronaldinho apart from footballing skills is that he always smiles.

Francesco Totti.
Not only he's a great player (see the whole game and the second goal against Sampdoria last sunday), but he has a great personality.
Unfortunately he's not as famous as the other players, so it is difficult to follow his career as a player.

Well, Zidne doesn't play anymore but he definetely was my favorite. Now I'd say I like Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto'o.
