I think there can be a very strong attraction, but love is something that takes time to grow.

I am very moved by the description of a famous director meeting his wife for the first time which says that she came into his office for casting and when he saw her he started smiling and just didn't stop. That makes me smile...

My partner used to say that he fell in love with me the first time he saw me, but I was stupid enough to argue him down to lust and now he just says he loved my [bum] the first time he ever saw me...

There are a couple interpretations, and a couple possibilities. The first is that one can feel an immediate attraction to someone, and from this first encounter love can develop mutually and one can say that a fondness has existed between the two from the first moment they laid eyes on each other.

The second is that one can fully understand the nature of humanity, and see that each and every person is unbelievably unique and alive. One can look upon another, not knowing the person, but loving him/her for what he/she knows to be there.

Could be though not as you might think. They say opposites attract but I don't believe that 100%. I think we are attracted to people with similar looks to our own, so you could say we would be attracted to brothers, sisters etc but as our culture doesn't accept this we look to those with a close resemblence eg. hair/eye colour, stature. It's unlikely this will be true love as we would soon realise our mistake. But hey what do I know I'm just a broad with nothing better to do than ponder the posers of the universe.

No, you might experience first sight lust. Love and lust are very different things.
