he's a really good friend who just got over a terrible relationship. i would like to be more than a friend to him eventually, but i can live with him being a really good friend for now.

Buy him a remote control 4x4 nylint rock crawler available at WalMart. My 26 year old boyfriend had to have one of those for Christmas last year. You can get the small one for around $50 or less and the big one for less than $100. I am pretty sure if he likes outdoors stuff, he'll love this.

My boyfriend is 27 and he loves sports, and video games, and poker. I'm sure he likes different things. But maybe get tickets to a concert that he really likes that you can go to together. Or tickets to a sports team that he loves that you can both go to. Or maybe make him a really nice dinner. And for a last resort, i get myboyfriend something to do with video games. Either a new game, or some kind of accesory, like one of those head sets or a new controller. I hope this helps. :)

Book is the best; explain his problems with a 'sell person' he/she would give a proper book that helps him to come over that terrible relationship that he had.

for me as 26, i like a scrapbook with full of our pictures and memories. but i don't know if thinks about that.
if he is not a romantic. don't make my suggestion. it is useless.

show him him you ARE his best friend and listen when he wants to talk and just be there for him and he will appreciate that , ...for his birthday ??? ...give him something that will make him smile, lift his spirits...
