The gov't pissed a lot of people off in the past. You can blame them for that, but the actual event? NO. They knew something was coming but not exactly what.

I think a good case can be made that the government knew there was a threat. Whether they took these threats seriously and acted acted in good faith is another matter. I do not believe that the government knew specific details of the plot and failed to act. Intelligence is never that cut and dry without direct information from a co-conspirator. Let's be honest here though, before 911 how many of us would have believed what happened was possible and imminent?

Nobody had any idea beforehand that 9/11 was coming. There were a few warning signs that we probably should have paid more attention to - but that is just hindsight.

The fact of the matter is that 9/11 was an excellently planned operation that was conducted with almost perfect operational security. Sometimes the enemy gets lucky.

Terrorists:

No dang Thermite
No Missiles
No Remote control planes
No PODS attached
No Explosives in WTC 7

I have been studying this for 2 mins. And logic says the theories are bananas.

Simple truth: 19 Terrorists attacked US soil on 9/11

As for the stupid Missile in the pentagon theory...You cant be serious right?? It was a PLANE. You can clearly see the wing marks on the Walls...The plane disintegrated on impact. Sure there are test movies of planes crashing etc etc...But how many hit a reinforced concrete building? So, we do not, or did not know what it would look like.

But, no one can convince the theorists so one day it will die off like the MLK, Kennedy, Area 51 etc etc..Theories. And what a day it will be.

The government receives hundreds of threats every day. It's impossible to weed out the real ones from the wishful thinking of the kooks. Yes, they had warning about the hijackings, but they also had thousands of other warnings about things that never happened.

Hindsight is always 20/20.

well considering that the congressional majority(party affiliation of it will remain nameless) trimmed all the anti-terror purposals prior to september 11th making them pretty much worthless, and still did nothing while they were majority in 2001 up until september 11th, when they were caught with their pants down and thumbs in their rears, it looks awful suspicious.
but in reality...i doubt they had anything more to do with it, than not lifting a finger to prevent it! AKA enablers!

My opinion is that it doesn't matter what anybody's opinion is. That is the problem with politics being driven by opinion. Our ideas and actions need to be guided by facts, objective facts. Reality. Things that exist outside of how we feel.

1. It was a terrorist attack.
2. No. It would have taken almost 3000 people to pull off the job in secret, and by now one of them would have talked.
3. They knew something was going to happen but not what.

The U.S. had everything to do with it. I have spent the last 5 years doing research on that subject.
I know about the controlled 'black outs' during the week before 9-11.
I know about the Thermite that was placed in the support beams.
I know about the explosives in the basement....and a preist that was killed because he knew too much.
I know that flight 93 did not crash...it was blown out of the sky. Why else was the nose found 8 miles from the crash site?
I could go on and on...but I think you get the picture.
