There's a place where I applied to before and got hired in but couldn't begin work due to being hospitalized with complications in my pregnancy. I forgot to call the employer letting them know and now the same place is hiring for a different position which I'm interested in. Would I be wasting my time applying? When filling out the app, it says have I applied before should I check yes or no?

Tell the truth, you will have a better chance. I doubt that they have forgotten and even if they have, they probably still have your previous application on file. I would not get my hopes up to much though, I would hesitate to hire someone who did not show up or call after being hired, whatever the circumstance.

it OK; be honest and write the reason next to it; show your interested in the new position and that you really like to work in their company that's why you applied again; it might be a good point for you:)

i think that you should still apply and be honest with them. they might understand. they hired you before they'll most likely hire you again. good luck.
