ZIP codes in Michigan all start with 48 or 49. For example, Franklin (a small suburb just northwest of Detroit) has the ZIP Code 48025. The city of Marquette, which is one of the largest cities in the Upper Peninsula, has the ZIP Code 49855. Does that help?
