I have the same problem. I figure if people cant get me what i really want then pls dont get me anything. I dont mean to sound non appreciative or vain, because i am not. But half of the things people give me i either give away, throw away or place in the back of my closet.

I usually have trouble finding Christmas gift ideas, but not this year, I just seem to want so many things!
I want an MP3 player, a few DVDs, things for my kitchen because, as much as I hate to cook, I really need some new stuff anyway, sleepwear, jewels. I'm with you on the flat screen TV, but I won't put it on my list. I want books too. And an X-Box or something like that. Phew, I need more relatives!

Took me ages to think of something I wanted then it all came at once.
1) Hairdryer. I recently grew my hair and have been borrowing my wifes, but its a bit pap.
2) After shave. Can't get enough of the stuff and if it comes to a relatively cheap and easy present this is it.
3) Books. I read a lot and have a few favourite authors.. so they're easy choices.
4) DvDs or CDs.. films or albums you want
5) Pans. I cook a bit and could use some decent new kitchen ware
6) A new chair for my PC. My current one sucks
7) A new chair or bean bag for playing xbox infront of the tv!.
If I get that lot I'll be doing pretty well.

What I realy want is a new SUV or big screen TV so I can play video games on it. But that is way to expensive and I know it. so to be more practical and in a affordable price range I would be happy to recieve as a gift one total day of someone else ( my husband) doing the chores. no dishes, laundry, cleaning of any type, for him to watch the kids. one full day is what I want. Just one. each year I ask for this and each year he refuses. this year for x-mass I want him to give me one day to myself. It costs nothing, yet means a lot.

I just want surprises as there's nothing I really need at the moment! But all my friends and family are annoyed as they have no idea what to get. I love it when you get a surprise off someone and it's something really well chosen that you love, shows they know you well.

If you really can't think of anything tell them all to go to Oxfam unwrapped and buy something from there.
I always end up with loads of things I don't want or need so I tell everyone now to get me a charity donation.
