My bedroom is next to a busy road and a lot of noise gets through the window - despite the double glazing!
On the advice of someone on this site I am planning to obtain a large sheet of foam to cover the window at night. Could someone recommend
A) The best type of foam to use for this (ie density etc)?
B) Roughly what thickness I would require for good noise reduction properties?
C) A good place to buy it?

many thanks

The best and cheapest place is HOme Depot... Lowe's or any such store as that... Heckinger's on the East Coast.. etc.

Try heavy, insulated drapes on the widows, that's where most of the sound comes through.

You need to go to any reputable DIY store one which is called Homecase as they do many more things.
As to thicknesses and best types the store would be able to advise you.

Wickes sell sheets of polystyrene, that may work.
