Right now the US is failing miserably in Iraq. The leader of Iran thinks that if the USA left and or if Iran took a major role in the situation then they could get the rebels to fail. What do you think?

Sure, seeing how Iran is one of the big creators of the problem.
The U.S. hasn't failed in Iraq. Outside sources have created a situation in Iraq. The people of Iraq are being used as fodder by the Iranians, Syrians, etc. in their war against the west.
And when we allow them to have Iraq, which we will, and the bodies really start stacking up, the world will point it's finger at us and say "it's all your fault!".
When are people going to pull their heads out and realize that the real problem is the retarded and outdated culture in the middle east? Their own govt. rob them and keep them in poverty. The religious leaders use a perverted system to enslave and brainwash them. We allow them to run wild like spoiled children.
Has Israel's concessions stopped the Palestinians attacks? Has our sacrifices brought peace? More is never enough.

Iran will only make peace in iraq when they incorporate iraq into a larger Iran. The whole thing has been an iranian power play. destabilize iraq by sending in fighters and cash, because if Iraq is stable, then Bush would move against the next node in the axis of evil, Iran. if Iraq is unstable, it can foment civil war, and bring the iranian revolution to the shia areas in iraq. Using iran to bring peace to the region is rewarding criminal behavior, and falling right into his hands.

they would have already accomplished it a long time ago, if it wasn't for rummy giving Saddam chemical weapons to prevent them from taking him out!
the majority would have been back in power, and a Iraq under a democratic government, our leaders just didn't want that democratic government to be a theocratic govertment, like the democracy of Iran.

Iran would take over in Iraq and this would lead us one, perhaps three, steps closer to WW3. Iran is our sworn enemy and don't forget it. Muslims and Christians (and Jews) cannot live in the same world unless the Arabs change the Quran by removing the chapters on Jihad. They are murdering bastards.

Considering that Iran is the sponsor of the Shia death squads - all they have to do is stop sponsoring the violence.

(Actually, I am amazed that you are not aware of Iran's involvement with the terrorism in Iraq.)

Iran is responsible for much of the violence and death in Iraq. They've been supplying weapons and bombs, they've been sending jihadists into Iraq, they've been fomenting and provoking sectatiran violence. Why would any rational person believe they seek any kind of peace? The violence serves their ends in a way peace doesn't.

Because, if you do a "cui bono?" analysis of the violence, it is obvious that Iran gains.

Do you really think you should ask that kind of question at a website where everyone is a fat_as* yank with no sense of politics or religion? At least people over at Iran don't spend most of their lives larding on some jar of mayo in front of cheap porn magazines all day long...

The US CAN do it, if we have the will.

Asking Iran to solve the problem is like asking Hitler to bring peace to Europe.

Absolutely, after all, it is their culture, area and religions.
What do Mac Donalds-"kill them all"-troops know about 7000 year old cultures inside problems anyway.

The big and difficult trick for America is to get out of there without ennormous shame.
