Thor - Any hero strong enough to match the Hulk for a while and can fly, could put him into space and maybe hurl him into the son. Toe to Toe, on the ground (even with his hammer), I think the Hulk takes Thor.

Professor Xavier - most powerful telepath on the planet. He could defeat the Hulk - not sure if he could kill him outright. Hulk is diffucult to control (through magic and through telepathy because he's, well... mindless:-) One slip by Xavier and it's goodbye)

Mr. Fantastic - if he had time to prepare a battle plan.

Invisible Woman - Those forcefields are nasty. She could squeeze his brain or heart until there was nothing left - or do enough internal damage to take him out.

In the DC Universe:
Superman - same reasoning as I used with Thor. Toe to Toe, it would be so close - kinda like the fight with Doomsday.. But near light speed flight gives Superman a tremedous advantage.

Black Adam - Same as above.

Shazam - Same as above but Captain Marvel's problem is that he thinks like a kid - so it's a toss up..

Powerful Magic could defeat the Hulk and so I'll add...

Green Lantern - He doesn't have to be close to the Hulk to do his damage.

Martian Manhunter - same reasoning as with Superman and Thor. In fact, MM has so many more weapons (telepathy, invisibility, morphing in addtion to Superman Type strength and flight)

Firestorm - transmutation of both energy and matter.

Now. I'm not saying these guys can take the Hulk outright - only that they have the best chance. It always depends on the writers and circumstances.

3. Dr. Strange. He can use his mystic arts to send Hulk to another dimension or limbo. Hulk has been in Limbo before, and escaped, but Strange could at least put a temporary halt to Hulk's efforts.
