Had an ultrasound last week and they saw a heartbeat and a sac. She had a little bleeding a few weeks ago but the dr said it was an implantation bleed. She is not bleeding now, the tests were really dark for the last few weeks and now they are getting lighter. We have an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow but still not sure if we should be concerned. I heard HCG levels peak but is 7 weeks too soon?

I know it is odd to continue testing but it is because she wants to know what her body is doing. She miscarried about 8 yrs ago and she is just worried I guess.
We are sure of the timing because we know the exact date she conceived.

can i ask why you are still taking tests when its already been confirmed that you are pregnant? i would wait for your ultrasound i would be more concerned about the HCG levels then the color and darkness of the lines, the doctor would tell you if something was wrong.
good luck.

Have you been taking tests weekly??? Expensive and unnecessary :)
And just so ya know...it doesn't matter what color or the intensity of the line...if it's there, it's positive :)
However, it is possible to still have a positive test & have had a miscarriage...HcG would still be in the mother's urine weeks after a miscarriage. BUT on a brighter note, I feel confident that the mother would begin bleeding (heavier than spotting) if there was a miscarriage.
Good luck to you...you'll be okay...try to relax & enjoy :)

Why do you keep on testing if you know she is pregnant? I am 9 weeks pregnant now and when i tested the first time the lines were very light. and what i can't understand is, a babies heart only starts beating at 7 weeks. So if you went last week then she woul have been 6 weeks. Are you sure of how far she is?

I think you both should rely on your doctors and not worry so much. A high stress level is not helpful for you, your partner or the baby. Take more time being happy then worrying. I understand it may take some effort because of her previous pregnancy, but give it a try. I am about 6 weeks pregnant and I am a born worrier. So to relax, I sometimes take warm bath in milk and honey, play the baby name game, or guess the babies gender. Anything to take my mind off worrying. Just continue to pray. Your baby is fine, and both of you will be too.

Stop taking tests. NOW! All it is doing is causing unnecessary worry. They saw a heartbeat and a sac. The baby is fine.
