New Look now have a maternity range, as does Peacocks. And they are very reasonable. H&M have a nice range, but a little more pricey.
Or try online at www.bloomingmarvellous.co.uk, niot sure of prices, but very trendy.
e-bay as a last resort!!!

I know the feeling.Being greedy, I wanted all my money to buy new clothes for the baby and have tried managing buying as little as possible for myself. I am wearing my partners coat, it has velcro on the arms and elastic round the waist although it still does look a bit big for me I don't care what I look like as it's soooo warm. I have also bin wearing his jumpers I am 5ft and a size 12-14, and he is 6ft and an XL.

I never bought a special coat. I found I was able to fasten my regular one, it was just a tight fit. Once I got to the point that fastening it didn't work well, I just wore lots of layers under it if it was really cold. She could also try her hubby's coat.
In looking at regular women's coats, something in an "A line" or "swing" style would work well.
For maternity wear, try the MamaCoat-

I think this is the brand a friend had and liked. You can even carry baby under it in a sling after s/he arrives!

They had an awesome wool coat at the GAP kind of a pea style cut.

The one I saw was the Wool wrap coat, the "warmest jacket" looks good too. It was on sale at Gap Baby when I saw it (I was looking for a coat for my 8 month old *lol* which they didn't have)
I *almost* bought it, because the wrap seemed to hang well --not at all like a tent!

As a witness to my wife's experiences with matrnity wear, don't bother buying her something new that she's only going to wear for the duration of the pregancy. Visit a dress agency or the like and get her one from there, save the money for a present after the pregnancy when she will apreciate a gift for herself more.

If she is pregnant she has no option other than to look like an upside umbrella (quite a funny way to put it btw). Its either that or one that doesn't fit properly which looks silly. People will notice she's preg not just fat.

while i became into pregnant, I additionally appeared for a coat, yet got here across it incredibly puzzling to get one. Then somebody reported a wrap, scarf, poncho or pashmina. i finished up determining to purchase a large black wool wrap, which became into amazing and heat and appeared fairly sensible. My mum additionally bought me a poncho, which I wore for informal placed on. As they at the instant are not expert maternity placed on, i got here across them greater value-effective than determining to purchase a coat basically for being pregnant (i've got been waiting to apply them on account that - particularly the wool wrap) and that they are exceptionally ordinary to locate interior the dept shops. desire this enables
