Because they are jealous that my mom is the best in the world.

While not all people, I, myself included do not say this about our mothers. Yet my children would tell you that I am the best thing since oodles of noodles. I strive very hard to maintain a strong relationship with my children. Mind you that my children are in fact teenagers, which is a very difficult time. They both know that they can talk to me about anything. They know that if they leave the house and by chance get into something like drinking that they in fact can call me anytime. They know that I will go and get them and anyone else with them and that nothing will be said until the morning. They know that they can count on me as long as I can count on them. If a mother believes in her children, then they believe in her. My children's friends will also tell you that I am the best... simply because I listen and treat them like I treat my own. Children are people and need to be respected. I am not one of these parents that wants my children to think I was a perfect child. I always have a house full of other people's children and have even been asked by other parents, why. The reason is because they trust me and know that I do understand because I will admit that I have in deed been a teenager myself.
No my children are not spoiled and no I do not cover for them. When the policed called me about my son and some thing he had gotten himself into, my only question was "Is there anything you can charge me with?" With his answer being no. I told him that he did not need to ring my phone again. My son was who he needed to deal with and not to call me again. My son had to hire his own lawyer and at no point did I walk into the courthouse. $1300.00 later my son understood what I meant by... It is not what you do but what people say you do, and yes in deed you are judged by the company you keep.

because she is your mom-and moms go all out for their kids-so people use that expression to sum up how wonderful they are.I'm moved everyday by my mothers kindness and help in raising my daughter-I couldn't imagine life without her.by the way-my mom says I'm the best kid in the world(although I'm 30-I'm always her baby)

As moms are the best friend after oneself. Mom is the living God ... thats why...
Moreover, we hardly compare others moms before saying this...

all that she did was love..!
How she got up in the morning just to make sure that everyone has the right breakfast and be in time for school& for dad's - work..
How Every little thing she said and did was right..
The patience,,knowing that i have to go through all those pains and struggle whilst deep inside she really wanted to take all those burdens and make it hers..
How she drive..haha so slow.. making sure everyone in the car is safe..
and everynight in her prayer,, there's always my name,, ^^
etc....

Just to stress that they think their mom is really great. I don't think they mean it literally, they're just trying to express how much their mom means to them.

You should ask inner self that question. if you couldn't answer your own question, then you're a hypocrite. Just try searching o find the answer in the depths of your heart. I like my mother simply because she is my mother, no accessories included.
