India at full strength and capabilities can compete well with Australia.

England won the Ashes last time so you'd have to say them at the moment.

None of the others are up to it at the moment in my opinion. Wait for 2 or 3 years when Warne and McGrath are both retired. This may change the spectrum completely.

In the present form and strength, South Africa are wellequipped to compete with Australia. The victory of South Africa against Australia with the highest run chase ever in ODI history is a testimony for this.

Yes South Africa.

India? Not a chance in hell.

New Zealand and Sri Lanka maybe on a good day.

HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN THE WEST INDIES??? They beat them this year.

I will say SA is the most likely since they have beaten them in a series this year. In terms of the world cup next year the West Indies are playing at home. If Gayle and Lara hit their top form at the right time no team in the world will beat them. Lara is very expierenced and that counts in Big matches.

Though Aus is Aus. They are good and any team that wants to beat them will have to play very well

I used to think India could topple Australia from the first position but considering their recent form seems very unlikely...my guess would be South Africa (due to the number of quality all rounders they have) or Pakistan( temperamental but brilliant..cant rule them out)..and I guess the only other team is New Zealand...

ODIs : I say South Africa and West Indies

Tests: England can prove to be a tough team, as we have seen in the 2005 Ashes series

South Africa, now that Darrel Hair is out of the way, we should see the Aussies loosing more often.

At this time I think Srilanka or South Africa would be a tough competetor for them.
