Scientists say that in 5,000,000,000 years, the sun will suddenly expand, probably all the way to Earth's orbit. Even if it doesn't come this far, we will be fried. Before then, humanity may end, but Earth will still be here.

No way,its such a huge massive structure.I dont think so tht the asteroids will come and destroy...becoz it took time to make this earth a dn im sure it might be strong enough that it won't end...But still if all these are true,I just hope the world ends after we die i dont want to get a shock.Well again if it ends after we die then ill be sad for the rest of the ppl in the world

Law of entropy declares there is. Science and religion meet up, there will be an expiration of the earth whether through internal disaster or through the expiration of the sun. Interestingly enough the Bible does cover such disasters.

I say yes but it wont be by an asteroids, more likely from something a little closer to home, the sun. Its a very young star so it still has billions of years to live but as it gets old it will eventually expand and explode.

If the expanding doesn't destroy earth then the shock wave will from the super nova exploding.

I think there's likely to be an end of the world as we know it, but don't think it's about to explode or anything just yet. Perhaps those insects resistant to nuclear attacks will take over or something.

It's probably not worth worrying about though, if the world ends it ends, not a fat lot anyone can do about it, all the more reason to enjoy what you've got.

Of course the earth will end. If an asteroid hit the earth, we would go away -- not the earth- - but eventually the sun will grow to a red giant and the earth will vaporize.

Matter is neither created nor destroyed. However, it is constantly changing. The world we know may very well end someday, but it will just return in another form or forms. Kind of cool to think that what is will always be, just a little different.
