no you can't uninstall it. it's actually a version of IE, just a cheaped up version. you can minimize aol once you connect to the internet and use firefox or something instead, that would be your best bet.
well actually your best bet would be to not use aol, it's horrible, but if that's your only option i guess you have to.

you can uninstall the browser....just go to your add/remove programs list and look for AOL if its 9.0 then it should have an entry for AOL software or applications or something like that....then you can select to uninstall the browser.

there may be a way of doing this but sense this came as a hole install pachage it may not work. try going into add/remove programs and see if it lists the browser only. if it does not then you can not uninstall it without uninstalling every thing with aol.
ps: if you said that your using dsl or dial up that would help people answer. just saying
hope this answers your question

yes just go to controle panel add or deleat programs it will give you a list look through them carefully and deleat anything with aol on it or just reboot your pc with the windows cd. but you will lose all your data wen you reboot right it down things you need so you can put it back on later. thats the problem with aol. they dominate your pc its like a small print to say well if you dont stay with us then ya knackered weve taken over your hard drive.
