Nobody's said Big Rigs yet? Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing is easily the worst game I've ever played.
It's supposedly a racing game... but it's completely broken. Your opponents don't move, so no matter how slow you are, you'll always be greeted at the finish with a trophy and a message reading "You're Winner!"
You can move through obstacles and can't travel over bridges--you sink through them. You can drive straight up mountains and even off the area boundaries, straight into limbo. You can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a couple seconds, driving BACKWARDS, and can then stop on a dime.
This game can be thoroughly depressing or amusing, depending on how you look at it.

Tricky one this - worst in what way? In terms of actual gameplay, I'd say something like the first version of Viet Cong, which was just so full of glitches it made it practically impossible to play.
In terms of quality of products and support, simply has to be Battlefield 2 from EA/Dice. Why? The game itself is fine, has a good longevity and no 2 games are ever the same, thanks to the 64-player online games. What let's it down SO BADLY is the sheer number of patches, which although intended to sort out bugs and stuff, only introduced more problems, leading to more patches - you get the idea. Even though I'd safely say it's my favourite game, there has been something like 10 or 12 official patches in less than 2 years (started with 1.01, 1.02, but then they gave up and just went 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 etc) - now on 1.41......

Everquest.
Before it came along all online games were based on competeing with other players. If you killed someone you could loot all thier items. It was incentive to polite and make friends. Then Everqueer came out and that all ended. No one could fight each other. Even games that do allow PK's now make sure all your precious little items are safe.
After than even the great old school PvP games like Ultima Online sold out to recover the users from Everqueer and went non-PvP by ading "Safe Zones" and "Item Insurance."
Now, 10 years later. It is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to find a game that is realistic. Online gamers have become RUDE because they can say whatever they want and not face the consequences. The term "structured" PvP basically means... it's okay to be g@y..

I would say Enthusia on PS2. It was billed as the next level of reality, get ready for real gaming they said. It looks ok, but it is not realistic, it is pathetically small in scope and the cars are difficult to drive. May be Enthusia 2 will be much better, but I don't think they will produce it.

Halflife 2, it had so many scripted sequences that there was hardly anything in it that made it a game.
