I was induced very early in the morning, between 6 and 7, my son was born at 11:49 that NIGHT via emergency c-section. I've heard that inductions hurt worse that actually going into labor on your own, because you start with nothing and then "bam!" intense contractions. I'd tend to agree with that statement. I hadn't even had Braxton Hicks while pregnant with my son, so the contractions came as a HUGE shock to me. But reading what everyone else has posted before me doesn't sound so terrible. Good luck!

I was induced with all 3 of my children. With my first the labor lasted 5 hours and 50 min. With my second it was 5 hours and 1 min. And with my third it was 3 hours and 30 min. I hear it hurts more because when the contractions start they come on strong. For me it was great because I knew I was going to have the baby and they weren't going to send me home and because they were very short labors. Also my first weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces, my second 6 pounds 3 ounces, and my third 8 pounds even. But with each my labor got shorter. Thank goodness.

I had my labor induced and they broke my water but I was still in labor for 12 hours. It didnt hurt anymore and If I wouldn't got it induced I probably would've been in labor double that b/c I would start dilating then I would stop so to keep me going they had to induce me. But everyone is different good luck with the baby

With my first child, I was in labor for 10 hours, four hours of pushing, four epidurals, and a forceps delivery of a 9 pound 5 ounce baby girl. That one hurt! With my second child, I was in labor for 3 hours and 22 minutes, one epidural, 22 minutes of pushing, and had a 6 pound 8 ounce baby girl. Not so painful! My third one, I'm not sure, because she's not here yet! I'm 33 weeks pregnant, and I'm hoping for a swift delivery.

But my dad said after the last one, I better be careful, cause I might spit this one out on the way to the hospital.

my labor only lasted 8 hours and i didn't feel any of my contractions until they broke my water for me and then two hours later i had my son (prematurely) i had a pretty easy labor but the pregnancy was hard. i was on bed rest for two months and still had my son 10 weeks early he was in the NICU for three months. now i am pregnant again and scared to death it is going to happen again, but the best thing is having a baby. even if it does hurt while you are doing it as soon as you see the baby you forget all about it and cant even remember the pain you had just felt. good luck with everything and congrats on the new baby! :)

I was induced with my son and the pains came really hard and really fast and he was born 45 minutes later. My husband was in the waiting room and heard the nurse call out "11:14!" and he thought, my gosh what a HUGE baby but it was the time he was born. :o) He only weighed 8lb. 12oz. This was almost 30 years ago and they do it a lot gentler now.

WHEN I WAS INDUCED, IT WAS FOR ABOUT 5-6 HRS, MY PAINS WASNT THAT INTENSE, I ONLY DIALATED TO 6 AND SATYED THERE FOR ABOUT ANOTHER 2-3 HRS, SO THEY DECIDED TO GIVE ME A C-SECTION.AND FOR SOME REASON WHEN THEY GAVE ME THE EPIDURAL IT WASNT WORKING SO THEY HAD TO SHOOT ME UP LIKE 10 TIMES, I COULD STELL FEEL A LIL PAIN, BUT IT WASNT SO BAD.
